Never be afraid to trust an unknown future to a known God. ~ Corrie TenBoom
Alrighty here I go with the online blogging! This is a new one for me, but hopefully it will be an easy way to keep all you lovely friends updated on what is going on as I head across the world!
I am leaving January 14th for Botswana, Africa! I am SO excited and can not wait to see what the Lord has in store for me there. The most exciting part about this whole thing is that I really feel that this is where God wants me! I do not know if Botswana or even Africa is where I will end up for the rest of my life, but I am 99.9% (.01% off because I am a fallen human who doubts) sure that Botswana is where God wants me for the next 6 months. I don’t know why. I never usually do actually until after I follow where I think that God is leading. BUT that is sure to be revealed at a later date. I do know that God has called me to serve the poorest of poor people and doing my internship in Africa seems to line up well with that.
The title of this blog is a reminder for myself. God has been teaching me and I am slowly learning to walk by faith and not by sight. This has always been a struggle for me because it is so easy to speak about what is right in front of me, what I can see, hear, smell, taste or touch. BUT my desire is to think in line with the Word of God, speak in line with the word of God and act on my faith in the Word of God. I know that when I am in Africa there will times where I will not ‘feel, hear or see’ God’s presence, but I can always hold to the truths God speaks of in His Word if I allow myself to walk by faith and not by sight.
Praying for you!
